Dell Introduced new laptop the Latitude Z which designed for business men and include amazing innovation: special surface that charge the laptop without any cables. The initial price of this laptop is about $2000.

According to Dell this new solution can charge the battery the same time required for normal charging . There are some other devices that are capable to use this surface for charging (see previous posts), but the Latitude Z is the first computer that exploits this technology.

The Latitude Z has a 16 inches screen, very thin (14 mm in the most thin point), weighs about two pounds. It allows very fast boot, based on a separate operating system and separate processor, and contains a web-cam and microphone for video conference. Another useful feature is automatic business cards scan: the user places the card in front of the camera, which scans the card, converts the image to text and saves it in the contacts.

Did you ever found out in the middle of working you have almost no power left on your laptop? If yes, then this interesting gadget I saw is just the right thing for you. The peddle charger is a mechanical (kinetic) power based gadget so you will get the power for as long as you are physically capable to activate it.

The only problem with this peddle, which I think will make it useless to many people is the fact that it is a bit big – its size is : 170 X 184 X 49 mm, but for those of you who can’t afford losing the power while working on their laptop this is a nice solution.

1) Android: HTC G1 phone has lot of disadvantages if you look on some other solutions, but the most important news that we got with this phone is the free mobile operating system from Google- Android. The HTC G1 is only the first of many phones that will use it in the near future. As it looks, the Android has high potential to take the cell phone industry to very intersting place where large developer community will support it growing.

2) USB 3.0: The Universal Serial Bus (USB) is very popular standard for transferring data from PC to many kind of devices and charging PDAs/Phones. These days there was major update in the standard, which will get 10 times faster rate than the current USB 2.0 (4.8 gigabits per second). Another improvement will increase the amount of electrical current that USB cable will deliver ( 900 milliamps instead of 100 milliamps), and this will allow more devices to be charged faster.

3) Video-Capable SLRs: This year the camera industry overcome major limitation that prevent high-end single-lens reflex cameras to shoot video. Two new cameras Nikin D90 and Canon 5D Mark II shoot HD video and capture top notch still images.

.
