So the BBC just publish that till today recording on Blu-Ray disks was not possible because of copyrights issues. Many companies don’t like the current situation which anyone can just make copy of their content on DVD.  The BBC channel in the UK will enable recording movies from HD channels and that move might give the Blu-Ray great push forward.

In the meantime, the price of Blu-Ray players is going down consistently and you can get one in $200 and the predictions say that next crismas you may get it in $100.
